Detonators

An elastic explosive made of textile, cored with PETN (Pentaerythritol tetranitrate) which used to initiate the connectors with delay element. Once the detcord has been ignited and burned the connector, the fire will travel though the shock tube until it reaches the blasting cap which yields to blasting. Its strength is relatively proportional to its weight.  Detcord for surface is only used for pre-splitting.

Ordinary Blasting Cap (OBC)

Blasting cap, also called Detonator, device that initiates the detonation of a charge of a high explosive by subjecting it to percussion by a shock wave. Depending on the preferred method of initiating the explosion, the blasting cap may contain a primer alone or both a primer and a detonator.

BRANDS: CDET, AMARDET

Non-Electric Blasting Cap

Is an explosive accessory which is in a form of a cap with metallic shell filled with the layering of charges, ignition charge, initiating charge, and base charge, connected in an elastic textile filled with PETN (Pentaerythritol tetranitrate). This is being linked with the safety fuse as igniter.

Safety Fuse

An explosive accessory connected to OBC for ordinary blasting. This is a slow burning fuse with an average burning rate of 2.5 minutes per meter.

Ammonium Nitrate (AN), ANFO & WR ANFO

Ammonium nitrate is a chemical compound, the nitrate salt of the ammonium cation. It has the chemical formula NH₄NO₃, simplified to N₂H₄O₃. It is a white crystal solid and is highly soluble in water. The compound does not occur in nature because it is so soluble that it is washed out of the soil by rain and surface water. Ammonium nitrate is stable at lower temperatures, but tends to decompose explosively when heated to temperatures above 200°C (390°F). Its two most important uses today are in fertilizers and explosives.

  • ANFO
An explosive compound material that is a mixture of 94 percent Ammonium Nitrate and 6 percent Fuel Oil. This is economically feasible to use if the area to blast is dry since its property is not water resistant. However, this has stronger efficiency compared to dynamite. This is initiated by a primer of either pentolite booster in surface or dynamite for underground.
  • Anfo WR
is relatively moisture-resistant. Anfo WR can be charged in water holes, provided that the water is extracted before charging.

Electric Blasting Cap

An explosive accessory in a form of a cap with metallic shell filled with different layer of charges, ignition, initiating, and base charges. EBC is initiated electrically thus, electrical wiring is used connected to a machine called blasting machine.

Dynamite

An explosive material which is used when the area is watery. This is of two types, emulsion and slurry dynamites. Both of them is consist of micro balloons which triggers the efficiency of explosion. This is initiated through a blasting cap inserted within the dynamite itself.

BRANDS: Salvo Super, Dyna Con-Ex 100, Power Con-Ex 200

Boosters

is a sensitive explosive charge that acts as a bridge between a (relatively weak) conventional detonator and a low-sensitivity (but typically high-energy) explosive .
