Community Relations

For Consolidated Explosives Group Corporation (CONEX), Social Responsibility is not just a part of their core values. It is a sense of obligation towards the society, as a result, balancing the social, environmental, and economic aspect of the business. It is a CONEX commitment to be good corporate citizens and taking initiative in helping to improve the quality of lives of the community. 

With that, CONEX has been leading efforts to spread cheer during Christmas Season especially to our dear Senior Citizens and Persons with Disability (PWD’s). For Five (5) years, a yearly Senior Citizens Christmas Party and Gift Giving for Persons with Disability (PWD’s) were conducted in Barangay San Isidro, Rosario, Batangas. The company gives them the chance to not only enjoy by participating in games, singing, dancing and other activities but also by giving gifts and groceries items, so that they can fully feel the spirit of Christmas. 

For five (5) years CONEX also supports the Educational welfare of the children, by participating in the Brigada Eskwela activity held by the following Elementary Schools: 

  • Barangay San Isidro Elementary School
  • Compradia Elementary School
  • Barangay Nasi Elementary School
  • Barangay San Isidro Day Care School

Aside from donating paints and cleaning materials, some CONEX employees lend their time and hands in doing repairs and repainting the school classrooms.

In Health, CONEX recently conducted a Medical Mission within the community of Barangay San Isido, Rosario, Batangas. Among the services provided by the company are Eye Check up with free reading glasses, Medical Checkup for kids and adults, Free Fasting Blood Sugar Test and Free Hair Cut.

Other Community Relations were: Gift Giving to AETA community at Barangay Puting Kahoy during Christmas (2 years). Toy’s and Schools supplies giving for little boys and girls of the Aeta Community. Fire Safety Awareness Seminar (3 years) participated by all Barangay San Isidro Officials as well as contributing in the Barangay Road Constructions.

Throughout these past couple of years, CONEX has never failed to embody the value of community relations and social responsibility. The company will continue to invest on the important social needs that can help and improve the community and to our country’s development in terms of education, health and nutrition, environmental preservation, community-building, and disaster management.
